Stove Test Stand of the HLNUG
The HLNUG operates a test facility in Kassel for measuring emissions from wood-burning stoves. This test stand is currently equipped with an 8 kW wood-burning stove that meets the criteria for the Blue Angel eco-label. The flue gases pass through an electrostatic particulate filter.
Proficiency Test Particle Measurements on Stoves
The first round of interlaboratory tests to determine the number concentration of ultrafine particles (UFP) in the flue gas of wood-burning stoves took place in December 2022. The proficiency test programme is based on the test procedure according to the award criteria for the Blue Angel eco-label for wood-burning stoves (DE-UZ 212).
The proficiency test for particle measurements on wood-burning stoves is intended for testing laboratories wishing to offer measurements on wood-burning stoves for the determination of the number concentration of ultrafine particles (UFP) as part of type tests and similar tests, as well as for all other testing laboratories active in the field of emission measurements on wood-burning stoves and similar systems.
